Nissan  has officially announced the launch of a new vehicle. The manufacturer will launch it in the SUV segment. Nissan provided a deep dive into the vehicle. Details about the new SUV were provided by Alfonso, Vice President of Global Design at Nissan Motors, and Qin Li, Senior Design Director.

What will be the specialty

The design of the new SUV from Nissan has been inspired by Nissan’s Petrol SUV. The new SUV from Nissan has been given C-shaped connected LED headlights. Along with this, it has been given roof rails, connected C-shaped LED taillights, double C-shaped design fenders on the side profile. A similar design can be given in the interior as well. The manufacturer has named the SUV Tekton (Nissan Tekton) taking inspiration from the Greek word.

Nissan is expected to offer several other impressive features in the Tekton SUV, including a 360-degree camera, a large infotainment system, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, a premium interior, ADAS, ABS, EBD, and ISOFIX child anchorages.

Will there be any engine options?

Nissan has only revealed its design and name. The manufacturer has not yet provided information on the engine options and safety features it might offer. It’s expected that it could also come with off-roading capabilities.

When will it be launched?

The manufacturer has not yet revealed a launch date for the Tecton, but the SUV could be launched in India by the second quarter of 2026.

Who will be competing

Nissan’s new SUV, the Tekton, will be launched in the Indian market in the mid-size SUV segment, competing directly with SUVs like the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
